I am enraged. Geoff SMASH! I had a full hour of weight-lifting tips to discuss, now that I am working out and starting a new “cycle”, and out of nowhere, Mickey just shoves the emotional broomstick into the spokes of my fatboy. That entire sentence may in fact be the most awful mental imagery I am capable of, but we shall press on.

So, ixnay on the oidray talk, and bring on the Coffee Clatch! We twitter and muse on topics aplenty, not limited to Ms. Lohan’s transgressions against society and shrubbery:

Sweet Flow had never dealt with such an unruly ho.

You hear it all the time, when are rich young white girls gonna catch a break? Poor things.

I unveil my brilliant plan, to secure Paris Hilton et al, we need a new show dedicated to serving justice while earning ratings… Give it a listen and tell me what you think. If we can get someone in stocks on national TV each week, I think it’s just the sort of thing that could turn this country around and bring our boys home from Poland, and stuff.

We also sleepwalk our way into a discussion on hibernation. The science is real, the experiments are under way, and all they’ll need are Italian-American pigs to try it out. I think we finally figured out J’s energy level issue, as it seems he is operating on about 3 hours a night of decent sleep, until you factor in the apnea. I may have found the solution, and on an internet drug page at that!

This year, Thankgiving comes every day!

SomaCow – We don’t sleep! The battery-low indicator has never been so appropriate. Note I did not say apropos. The reason I did not say apropos is not because it was inappropriate to use there, but rather we are trying to make our show palatable to the masses! And this is just the sort of sentence we are trying to avoid nowadays!

Oh, and apparently, foreign languages. Just listen. You will understand. Even if I still do not.

So, hopefully, if nothing else, AnnInOhio will listen to THIS episode, as we have worked to no end stripping it bare of any vestigial hormonal balance. Besides, I guess Mickey just didn’t need to discuss the finer points of strength training, as he is naturally shredded and cut.

GET THICK!

(We snapped this picture of him after he lifted the studio off of a dog that ran out in front of Episode 9.)

Hey, thanks for reading, and moreover, thanks for listening! Stickers soon!

Our musical selections for this episode:

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes – You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman
Immune – Fading in the Sun
Richard Cheese – Material Girl
Lust Penguins – Belong

My left heel still aches from the sheer volume of margaritas. Happy Memorial Day to each of you, loyal members of the Heard and first time listeners. We hope today finds you grilling with your loved ones, or at the very least, grilling.

We did a review of my trip to Charleston, South Carolina, arguably the most beautiful Southern City, and certainly one of the most fun places I have ever visited. Soaked with rich history, I wish I could have spent more time there simply absorbing the town. Like some kind of massive amoeba. The women are beautiful, the bridges are cool, and the drinks are cheap (although I understand the new bottle-law changed them a little bit). The weather alone helps remind you that Florida is just the most miserable, god-awful, stupid, retarded, unnecessarily hot state, ever.

Discussed the Great Sweet Grass Scam, which is by far the most interesting facet of the southern economy. Suffice it to say that should one of the larger woven items sell, it would tilt the entire financial flow of this country, and possibly collapse the Asian markets as well. I guess that somehow, going from this:

Moo-Manga

to this:

Hot, sassy weaving action shots

Is the single most costly and skilled labor a blade of grass can undergo.

Anyway, I have a lovely new trashcan now, and finally something in which I can throw important things away.

We also covered cameras, the awful reek of Jacksonville (Seriously, WHAT IS THAT SMELL? I have smelt paper mills, I have smelt chemical treatment facilities… Jacksonville smells like a zombie toenail cheese burning factory), and vacations in general.

Also, we found some audio being broadcast across the Interstate through Georgia, which I managed to catch on my MP3 player. Strange stuff going on out there, and we have included it during one of our breaks in this episode. The religious folk have a new voice it seems…

Also had some great music this hour, including:

SOJH – Went Limp Quick
Midnight Movies – Souvenir

Thanks to Mickey, who gave a us a reason to appreciate this day, recalling an emotionally wrenching story of losing a brother-at-arms in a terrible accident during the first Gulf War in the Navy. We thank the members of the armed forces for their sacrifice, and we remind ourselves that while we may not always agree with the brain, the body of this great nation deserves respect for carrying us all home.

Got to go – Huge party starting and I have a checkers match to play! Thanks for listening!
