Born in Danville, Virginia.
Raised in Florida.
Educated here and abroad in Germany.
He was friendly to people, always giving the benefit of the doubt to strangers and new friends.
He took to electronics from an early age, taking apart anything with screws to “see how it worked”. He was a tinkerer, forever seeking a different, and better way, for things to operate. His attention to detail and creative solutions earned him early recognition in school, and he was selected by the then Siemens Corp. to travel to Germany for further education.
He sought to be a source of levity, enjoying humor in all forms. He was a prankster, and spent much of his time with others either laughing, or seeking to make them laugh. He brought light with him when he entered a room, sometimes in the form of his bountiful and seemingly endless smile, more often in the form of a halogen spotlight assembly, alternatively blinding others or lighting their way.
He was a good Father, working diligently to provide for his children, taking time to share his knowledge of the world and its various amazing features. He was equally at home deep in the woods, or in his own kitchen, always in motion, creating, crafting, cleaning, honing, shaping, modeling, and changing. He was a loving husband, brother, son, and friend.
He held strong beliefs, but always listened to others, willing to change his principles if logic and reason dictated that necessity. He found solace in nature and music.
He sought to form bonds with people whenever he could. Across the world, across the street, across the internet, and anywhere that people would stand, and listen, he would gladly fill their ears with hundreds of new things to think about.
He died far too early.
