In this hour, we discussed horror, J, and jorts. ALL VERY SPOOKY THINGS INDEED.

Horror… What captures the mind, stimulates the shivers, and why in the hell do people like it so much? I used to be an avid horror fan, but lately when I see new movie ads or read once-favorite horror authors, I am irritated and bored. We’ll see what I think of Randolph LaLonde’s stuff, now available at spinwardfringe.com

Things that have given me the stark raving heebie jeebies?

Keanu’s mouth formed over by Agent Smith in the Matrix. That bugged me.

Or that poor sister in Twilight Zone: The Movie. Same deal. Yeesh. I cannot stand people with skin where orifices should be. Sad day for trannies, everywhere.

The scene in Event Horizon where Sam’s wife appears in the green flashy duct corridor. Boo!

That horrific purple swollen female weird thing that gets shot with a shotgun in the movie House.

That damned kid in the mirror in the movie Mirror.

That damned Japanese kid in the youtube video.

The pink bunny in Hell in Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey.

The Sun Dog, in general. I don’t know that it is that great a story, I just get scared when I see a Polaroid.

The old ghost story where the kids are rude to their mom, and when they get home, she has been replaced with some horrific…. construct with glass eyes and an impatient horsetail. C R E E P Y.

What scares you? Besides being on the paying end of our weekly grocery bill?

  1. So THAT’S where the bacon-scented air-freshener and the Jack Daniels coffee came from–saw them in the studio on Saturday and wondered where they came from. Too cool, RSilva!

Because J is so curious, I’m going to review the Baked Potato Burrito in “Eat More Geek” tomorrow night. If I’m too sick afterward to sing at the karaoke tweetup, it’s his fault.

  2. The thing that scares me the most was as a child seeing ghostbusters 1. that demon dog was forever imprinted on my mind. when id pass my parents bedroom, id run past it cause i was afraid if i stood by the door, the demon dog would bolt from their bathroom and come after me.
