I am often amazed at the power and freedom enjoyed by us Merrikans. We have the ability to host a show out of my freaking HOUSE, beaming our thoughts and ideas at the speed of cat to the massive masses, speaking freely about any topic we wish. We can discuss history without bias, the state of the government, potential corruption in seats of power, the fallacy of religion, the miracles of science, we can spread love and respect for our fellow man, help the weak become strong, give the little guy a leg up, and vanquish the oppresors. Imagine if we had these abilities during each major revolution, under Pharoah, under the rule of Stalin, or even Hitler?

We used our powers in this hour to discuss… Television. Specifically, what I watch.

I would talk more, but I have 7 Top Chefs and 2 episodes of Torchwood to catch up on, and that doesn’t even touch seeing this week’s Obsessed. CanNOT get enough of that show!

What do you watch?

It wasn’t JUST TV talk, honestly. We enjoy a call in from resident word architect Randolph LaLonde after the :40, and he gives us some insight into storycrafting, sci fi style. I invite you to listen in, and check out his word at http://www.spinwardfringe.com

And is it Science Fiction, or sci fi, people. I will never understand what the hell that Syfy crap is being foisted on the public. Asimov would so kick your ass if he saw that.

Siffy? Sighphee? Whatever.

  1. Always a pleasure to call in, all three and a half of the guys are great hosts. All three episodes this week were fantastic (it seems the Somacow guys have been raising the bar over the last few weeks), and I’m enjoying being a member of the heard more than ever.

There were more people in the chat room last Friday as well, it was a great place to be and I highly recommend it for anyone whose curious about the show or is already a fan!

  2. I will say this Geoff, I dont have cable. Havent had it in over a year now. Only TV I watch is from my Digital Antenna and Converter box… They got a hell of a good channel for Kids called QUBO. very educational and very very very kid friendly. Its nothing like that crap Blues Clues or Dora the Border Explorer or Run Diego Run.

As long as I get Fox and can watch House, cause one day IT WILL BE LUPUS and I wanna be there to witness that historic event. Also who doesnt wanna see Chef Ramsey call someone a Donkey and then hopefully get punched.
