Ive heard from teachers who said kids reading comics is a good thing because, they are reading something. But DC Comics... they are borderline CON.

Okay, just to set the record straight about the whole Orbbies nomination/category thing--Just Push Play was originally nominated in the Pop Culture category, and Prime Time Geek was originally nominated in the "Out of this World" category. I know this because I did the nominating for PTG. lol "Out of this World" was supposed to be a category for anything that didn't fit into any of the other categories. The Sentinel in the contest rules reserved the right to move blogs from one category to another if they felt that said blog didn't belong in a category, so APPARENTLY the Sentinel moved PTG into the Pop Culture category once they'd actually looked at it. So despite Gary's and my best efforts and plan to not compete with one another, the Sentinel had other ideas.

re: newspapers publishing superhero comics--USA Today recently ran the Superman comic strip that DC Comics published for 13 weeks as part of "Wednesday Comics", and I heard it was very popular. check this out: http://www.usatoday.com/life/books/news/2009-06-15-wednesday-comics_N.htm

oh, and my laptop's internal speakers are filing a personal injury suit against Mickey's Glam Rock singing voice. Permanent damage has been done.
