Halo has no keycard collecting. The most you have to do is goto a spot, push a button and activate a door or bridge. There is no Blue key card needed to get to the Aqua Marine zone of the level. The problem with all those others you mentioned was they were made to be deathmatch games. Even in the latest installment of Unreal, you are fighting in a Deathmatch style for each level. Atleast with Halo there is a very good, nearly epic storyline, which draws you in and makes you feel as if you are experiencing it. I still would put Halo in a 4-7 spot. But Mario 3 needs to be dropped to like 99. Mario World, Just a pumped up version of Mario 1 but you get to ride a dinosaur who shits eggs that hatch out mushrooms.

If you want a game that is probably revolutionary, then look no further than stuff like Maniac Mansion, River City Ransom. Some of your Coin-op games where more revolutionary than Mario 3 like MK, Street Fighter 2. Even Dragons Lair to me rates higher than Mario 3 and beyond.

Halo is fine, but it is not 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th. 9th, OR 10th best game of all time, ever. Halo is shooting and key card collecting, and MDK, Quake, Doom, Unreal all did it better with less investment earlier. Halo is merely a stop along the way in FPS, and in NO way revolutionary.

You want to have a real challenge Geoff, see which of you guys can get into Negative World the fastest. And Super Mario was a good game but Mario 3 does not deserve to be on the list at all... It's Mario ripping off Zelda 2 basically. Mario wandering on a map (like Link did) until he enters into an area (like Link did) or comes across an enemy on his walk around (see where Im going).

And you hate for Halo is weird. Did you while playing the first time get teabagged by some 7yr old kid? Sure Halo is like most other FPS games but, Halo is alot better than most of those IMO.
