  1. Man, I dont know if I could disagree more with Geoff on Benjamin Button. While Id certainly agree that the movie tends to go downhill in the third act, I think that the fact that Brad Pitts character leaves Cate Blanchetts character is simply another way to deal with death. I would say that death is a far more important and prominent theme than the love story, especially since some of the most enjoyable parts of the movie in the first and second acts have nothing to do with the latter. Nonetheless, I think that the storytelling is generally pretty great and I can forgive the small plot holes (especially the sci-fi related ones, which were really a total afterthought for me), especially with the really mind blowing cinematography that David Fincher is well known for.

On the note of not bringing traffic during the Christmas season, youre totally right, with exception to top x of [year] lists all over the internet. I know that when we did our podcast awards for CastMedium, we pulled more traffic than any week in the past few months.

Finally, couldnt agree with you more about Rush and Beck. Contrarianism, obstructionism, and hate is their game and theyre not gonna stop playing any time soon. Two of my favorite conservative-leaning journalists out there are Joe Scarborough and Michael Smerconish, because they both seem to actually be cognizant of the political climate and dont just keep trying to keep their followers in the dark.

    Great show, as always.
