A lot of you have been sending me emails regarding Mickey’s position with the show. I want to clarify that he will no longer be working here, due to his recent incarceration. I will not assume the details, but they seem to have involved some kind of altercation with our hosting company, resulting in a grievous and wholly frightening keyboard insertion. No information yet as to when he will be out on bail…

Yeah… I still think our site’s server and sandwich shoppe service sucks serious sesticles. We will pay you for such, April Fool’s. Things seem to be getting better again, and hopefully not too many of you have been inconvenienced by our intermittant outages, rollbacks, and general snafury. I swear, these guys were good when we signed on. Entropy is the name of the game, I guess. Maybe I should get into the hosting industry?

In this set-to-prime episode, we discuss people, things, people who do not have things, but want things, and so they do things to get things that they think they need, but usually don’t. I spend some time bellyaching that I was a have not, and then I realize that plenty of people in the world have way more not than I. Or less. I am confused now by my own writing, how the hell can I expect less from you? And yet I do, every day, expect less that is. Really, you aren’t even trying. Not like listener Iceman. He very well may be walking out the door (figuratively) with $50.00 to Amazon.com, simply for being a good friend to the show. And you? Nothing. Bupkiss. Bumpkiss? Dick Buttkiss. Something.

I know we will find a way to fit it in this week, Ross, I promise!

If you know of a way Mickey can apologize to our listeners for his purporting of a false rumor regarding gasoline prices, please let me know at moo@somacow.com – I know he does not want to pump gas in a puffy paint shirt. Maybe he can just clean windshields, or install extra ram, or blow on soup to cool it for you guys. Just say the word, cause Lord knows we aims to please.

There are dozens and dozens of ways to help us out in promoting, developing, and crafting this show, and I want to make it clear: SomaCow is YOUR show. We are conduits, albeit thickly swollen and likely to suffer from blockage. The show is at its best when you are emailing, calling, discussing, chatting, partaking, responding, and engaging us. We want this to grow into another part of The Great Conversation, that endless stream of point, counterpoint, dialogue, discourse, and diatribe.

And we are not above bribing you for it. At the end of the year, a final point tally will be developed, and a mega prize will be given to the person dubbed Listener of the Year. It’s exciting.
