In this hour, we discussed The New Deal, namely, a vulgarity clause we were asked to sign off on by the Powers that Be, or whatever. It seems that in order to gain access to millions of fans, we need to clean up our acts. I am shocked. I thought we ran a clean show. Sure, we have been guilty of dropping the occasional F bomb, but who hasn’t? We struggle to define what IS vulgar, exactly, and what makes a thing unmentionable to you.

Hot Topics aside, we were again joined by Iceman, who came to the studio wearing Jorts. I am not sure why I keep mentioning that. Hell, I have worn Jorts myself a hundred times. But not since 29. I think once you hit 30, your Jorts days are at an end. Time to get some chinos, or whatever the old folks wear. I’ll ask J.

I will leave you loyal members of The Heard with an assignment – What IS offensive? Mickey’s Life Coaching (near the :50, holy crap I suck at time management) centers on finding a job. SomaCow knows that you are pounding the pavement, emailing your resume, calling your friends and bitching about it – There just doesn’t seem to be ANYWHERE that is hiring!!!

In this hour, the guys talked about living on a farm, education, and existentialism? Oh, only briefly…

Felix from Prime Time Geek stuck around this hour to chat more with the SC boys. Geoff started out the hour talking about the origin of “kick this pig” and his life growing up on a farm. At this time, all of the live viewers in Ustream could see Felix anxiously looking for the quickest exit out of The Martini Room!

Mickey shared his life coaching views on getting and using a desk calendar (and not letting it use you…ahem)

Felix then noticed that Geoff had a copy of Albert Camus’ The Stranger in the studio. Geoff “blamed” it on me and the fact that it’s a Cure song. Of course it is much more than that…Yes, Killing An Arab (The Cure) was based on this book but it’s also a great book on its own! Felix agreed. Just trying to open some minds, that’s all.

Fashion was on their minds, too, it seems. Ross thought it was appropriate to wear pajama bottoms to the show. Now I can’t blame him, I’d say 90% of the time that the show is going on, I’m in pajama bottoms but this sparked a discussion about dress code for SomaCow (at least for the guys). Geoff killed the topic by mentioning the holocaust.

And in the rest of strange news from this episode, my husband, Geoff, the sports hater (as opposed to me, the wife who loves most sports), exclaimed, “The Gators may well be the second coming of Jesus”. God I love that man.
