SomaCow Media is proud to present SomaCow, brought to you this week by Randy LaLonde and all the Wondah of his many Writings. You want some good stuff, ebook style? Go get these!

In this hour, we discussed Jason Statham (Hot), Books and the Way We Read, Late Night ESPN, and how Texas Hold ‘Em has really jumped the crane. Corkscrewed the Bomb? Hired the J? (I didn’t mean that last one, honestly!)

We also spent some time lamenting the Death of Battlebots. I do not know why i liked that show so much, but I did, and always rooted for the wedges to die. Mickey has a good take on wedges in this hour, and how the field-leveler will sometimes just come in and ruin a whole thing for the rest of us. Screw the wedges!

We also want to give some special love to Madhouse – you hep cats want some more of the hotness that is Orlando Talk Radio, head on over and enjoy what Carlitos is putting down.
My flail book review failed this week, as miscommunication and general Meredithing of the situation resulted in Randy’s most recent missive-masterpiece lying (laying?) unread on my microwave for a week. Look for a review this week, and we instead spent some time discussing my favorite book, which, strangely, is one of my least favorite movies.

Shakespeare says you are a base-faced eater of broken meats, but you can still listen in, and hear some of the following great tunage:

  • Swinging Utters – Five Lessons Learned
  • MC Lars – Space Game

SomaCow Media, Inc. is proud to present SomaCow, brought to you this week by The Sports Buzz. Check out Ryan and Todd’s recent interview with ESPN’s Buster Olney on SportsBuzzRadio.com!

In this hour, we talk about a subject unheard of here on SomaCow – Meat! Specifically, the eating of copious quantities of beefs, at a very mafia-swank establishment tucked away off Howard and Armenia in Tampa, Fl. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a very upscale steakhouse experience. Strangely, even with the 75 dollar plates, the ever present guy wearing flipflops and a hat was still present at this joint. Dress code violators notwithstanding, I highly recommend Bern’s for the eating of beefs. It even made me fall in love with my Mother-in-Law.

Hey! We are giving away a free iTouch media player here on SomaCow Media! It’s a nigh on $300.00 piece of technology neatiness, and you can win it simply by answering some questions. Little listening, and you are in the running. What could be simpler? Besides a woman?

We also discussed the service industry in general, and some experiences we have had recently, and we delved into the top ten things restaurants would really rather you did not notice. Maybe it would be better to just eat in tonight, yeah? It’s some good eatvice, which is just the sort of thing you can rely on SomaCow to provide you, our value-added listeners.

Don’t forget to come down and join us this Sunday, March 2nd, as we invade Texas de Brazil to hang out and consume a ridiculous amount of well seared animal. The menu from this place blows my mind, and I am really hoping it lives up to the hype. International Drive, Sunday night – see you there!

We comped the following great songs on your check for the evening:

SomaCow Media, Inc. is proud to present SomaCow, brought to you today by ESPN radio. Please check out Ryan of zoos and museums. In Orlando, we have a significant dearth of these establishments, and it seems that any amount of funding is spotty, and usually pays just enough to renovate the establishment to a two decade old standard of presenting. I expect that is what any transient town that comes to a complete standstill whenever a penny sales tax is discussed should expect.

We talk about the possibility of charging extra to tourists for gasoline, in addition to the bed taxes we already gouge them for. If we are going to develop into a city, it has to be more than just one company’s attraction that supports us. You never know when some incredibly devout religious types might try to mix things up, and it would be good to have a system of high tech, low waste producing jobs at our fingertips… At least, more than the call centers at Convergys and AAA have given us ($7.00 an hour, w00t!!).

We discussed the possibility of developing a nerf theme park, but went soft when it got down to the nuts and bolts of the plan.

We also discussed over-reactive cops, and the anger that they are somehow allowed to have. I want you to think about the guy that strove to be hall monitor, or kickball team captain, when you were a child. That asshole was on and on about the stupidest shit, all day long, and all he ever wanted was to have a tiny bit of control, in the form of a whistle, or a stupid fluorescent sash with some fake badge, just to prove he was in authority and lord it over everyone. That little prick, it turns out, invariably grows up to be a cop, and we’re tired of it. Look, pigs. I watched SuperBad. I know what you are doing. You drive through stop lights, race around rush hour, and generally pull 7 and a half hours of dick moves every day on your shift. Yeah, you might pull one guy out of a burning car, or stop one bad guy midrape, but these are rarities, and the majority of your job is sitting, half-hidden, giving out exorbitant tickets for meaningless infractions and generally hassling the public. We’re on to you, and I am ready to arm this city with enough camcorders to keep an eye on you. Dirty Birdies.

Oh, and God, it seems, is packing. Not heat, but meat.

We toasted our wieners on the flames of the following great musics:

Sean Fournier – Paper Tiger
The Downshifters – Outlaw Bliss
Amber Pacific – Summer (In B)

(Buy and Amber Pacific T-shirt… or just gawk at the model)
