In this hour, we discussed the passing of the enormous and lispy Dom DeLuise. He never got over the constant comparisons to that Seafood magic Paul Prudhomme dude, I guess. A true blow to the fat and fancy comedian world. There are very few of us left in the world, having lost Sam Kinison, Chris Farley, John Belushi, and Louie Anderson. Wait, is Louie even dead? Someone will know… At this point, the only fat comics left are Ron White, Ralphie May, and Patrick Melton of NobodyLikesOnions.com – Stay Alive, Funny Fatties! We need you!
We also discussed Oprah Winfrey’s crazy chicken conflaguration – Essentially, KFC said “hey, come try some free new grilled chicken”. Oprah downloaded the coupons 6.8 million times, and the Colonel went batshit crazy, throwing biscuits and canes at people. It was insane, and we are miffed, mainly because I still haven’t gotten my free chicken. Public relations nightmare, I am sure, but you should always count your chickens before you offer 4 free dinners to every American with a printer and penchant for poultry.
We rounded out the hour discussing our new sponsor, and spending some time familiarizing our audience with the adult products made available at AdamandEve.com. You really dropped the ball and forgot Mother’s Day? No problemo! Go and get her something nice from the best adult toy site on the internet!

SomaCow Media is proud to present SomaCow, brought to you this week by The Drew Show, The Redboy Podcast, The Sports Buzz, and Nobody Likes Onions.

Geoff doesn’t feel like writing the blog tonight and I don’t blame him. After all, after about 30 minutes of him being at work he got a frantic call from me, his lovely wife, that I had a family emergency. He got someone to drive him home (one-car family) and then proceeded to drive my rambling crazy ass to Clearwater.
He held my hand, sang They Might Be Giants and Bob Marley with me, and, best of all, he drove!
Then he sat with me and about 80 clergy friends of my family (they aren’t really that churchy but I guess pastors have nothing to do on a Tuesday morning but visit a hospital waiting room) and helped, got answers, got snacks, got drinks, kept us laughing….
So it was a long day for us all and we are going to get some rest so I can go back to visit family again tomorrow. Thank you all for keeping us in your thoughts, as of now everything looks good and I’m sure we’ll share more Live this Friday! See you then!

SomaCow Media is proud to present SomaCow, brought to you in this hour by nobodylikesonions.com – They’re neat, they’ve been doing it for a while, and we like them. Have a listen, why don’t you?
In this hour, we discussed our respective Independence Day festivities, we remembered our listeners abroad, and the first time we ever got drunk.

Every year I challenge our listeners to take some time here, as our country celebrates its birth, and declare independence from something. It could be as simple as “clothes shopping with my wife” (although, I sort of enjoy that, ’cause I am gay), or overthrowing your local government, or just changing something for good about yourself. But what in your life, today, could you do with some freedom from? This year, I declare independence from AM talk radio hosts. No more Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, etc. The days of listening, feeling my blood pressure rise as truth and intelligence are sacrificed for platitudes and gut noise are gone. If I want to listen to a parody of a human being, I will enjoy some Stephen Colbert, who does a far better and more believable portrayal of such than any of the originals ever did.
My politics notwithstanding, we also want to take some time to thank Seadad, Brent, Brandon, and all our other listeners stationed in the mideast. You guys be safe, and let us know if you need anything. To our listeners, we will be putting together a care package this month to send overseas, so email us moo@somacow.com if you would like to contribute to the pile.
From the sound of things, Mickey and J had a way better time than I did this Fourth of July. Next year, I am getting our Orlando listeners together for a cul de sac cookout and blow stuff up fest. It’ll be huge, as any event I attend is.
Ross is not fired, but he does have to eat ten pickles or something before he may come back.
