SomaCow Media is proud to present SomaCow brought to you by ComaSow back and better than ever!
In this, their finest hour, the guys talked about mash-ups, kids’ books, and food (surprise surprise!)

So Geoff doesn’t like mash-ups. I have to agree with him, kind of. I guess I semi-agree with him? I remember some of the first mash-ups I saw and they were good, innovative, neat even! But since then the crap has been flying and Geoff will have nothing to do with it!
What is it with creativity? Has it really all been done? I’d love to speak to someone living about 200 years ago to see if they thought the same thing. We talked about this on ComaSow’s inaguralish new redesigning episode which you can listen to here. We need new stuff people! And I don’t mean like we get a Pulp Fiction and then 80 movies after that where the timing of the movie is all jumbled up. There has to be something!
Geoff and I made a resolution to read a book to Rowan every night. We have done a good job with many thanks to my family for about 50 books they gave her for Christmas. One that I loved, and was the subject of Geoff’s Weekly Constitutional, was Click, Clack, Moo, an early indoctrination into the world of unions via cows. What could be better?
And what 3rd hour would be complete without food talk? Even though the show is now live 7-10 PM it doesn’t mean that 3 hours of the best internet radio talk show, ever doesn’t make a man hungry! We found a great site for reviews and ratings of local restaurants. It had very few missing and we joined up to start reviewing where we eat. Hey, at least we feel that our eating out is making a difference! So check out Urban Spoon, and make your voice heard! We know you all have great palates.
And guess what? Our own Gary from Just Push Play is on TV! The schedule is changing this week but check in Monday to JPP live from 8 to 10 (if the crew has gotten rid of their sicknesses) to get the most up-to-date info.

SomaCow Media is proud to present SomaCow brought to you by the Drew Show.
Yep, this hour (our finest), we had Orlando’s own Drew Garabo in the studios. Drew used to host talk shows on terrestrial radio here in Orlando and for many of us, was a staple every night from 7 to 11. Drew has now joined us in the uberranks of podcasting!

So this hour, we talked to Drew about the state of radio today. Is it going away from terrestrial radio? What is the next big thing? Satellite or podcasts? And what is up with companies thinking that people who are listening to a talk show want to suddenly hear music? Hybrids might work in a car but not in radio.
The guys also talked about sports! It’s true! Listen! Golf, football, basketball…it’s amazing what the guys actually know about sports. I mean they couldn’t give Ryan a run for his money but they have some knowledge…
So it was an honor and a blast having Drew in for this hour. We thank him. Check out his show! The website has all of the podcasts and he has, at least recently, been doing live shows on Tuesday nights on ustream.
And for those of you catching this blog Friday, SomaCow will be doing their 3 hour live show tonight (Friday) from 8-11 PM Eastern. See you there!

SomaCow Media is proud to present SomaCow, brought to you this week by Randy LaLonde and all the Wondah of his many Writings. You want some good stuff, ebook style? Go get these!
In this hour, we discussed Jason Statham (Hot), Books and the Way We Read, Late Night ESPN, and how Texas Hold ‘Em has really jumped the crane. Corkscrewed the Bomb? Hired the J? (I didn’t mean that last one, honestly!)

We also spent some time lamenting the Death of Battlebots. I do not know why i liked that show so much, but I did, and always rooted for the wedges to die. Mickey has a good take on wedges in this hour, and how the field-leveler will sometimes just come in and ruin a whole thing for the rest of us. Screw the wedges!
We also want to give some special love to Madhouse – you hep cats want some more of the hotness that is Orlando Talk Radio, head on over and enjoy what Carlitos is putting down.
My flail book review failed this week, as miscommunication and general Meredithing of the situation resulted in Randy’s most recent missive-masterpiece lying (laying?) unread on my microwave for a week. Look for a review this week, and we instead spent some time discussing my favorite book, which, strangely, is one of my least favorite movies.
Shakespeare says you are a base-faced eater of broken meats, but you can still listen in, and hear some of the following great tunage:
- Swinging Utters – Five Lessons Learned
- MC Lars – Space Game
